I admit it, from high school to college I used to make markings on arm chairs too, drawing my teacher’s face when I get bored listening, nasty and good sometimes, and a relief knowing it’s not my face they’re drawing on, LOL!  Twenty years after I see same habit of students, it made me confirm my theory that vandalism, so sad this term connotes a negative insinuation, is a rite of passage for every student.

So nothing can the administrators do but to remind students often not to mark the armchairs and repaint these chairs every year for them to look nice and clean again for the next round of awesome and not markings on the chair.
