I’m not only a teacher at night, I’m also a mother day and night. Though I always tell my kids to do their projects on their own, sometimes I can’t help it but extend my hand especially when things seems to be wrong.
Just recently, my son had this project to come up with a board featuring their favorite saint. He chose Mother Teresa, glad there is Google to find Mother Teresa’s photo and an instant printing machine at the mall - so in a snap of second we had the saint’s photo, a little cut here and there and viola! We had the board ready.

As always I had this realization that schooling in this space and time is no hard matter at all, everything is provided for this younger generation, though at times it requires a little effort and creativity, over-all it’s actually just easy-peasy.
The hardest part of schooling I guess is how to manage time and getting oneself to understand concepts taught by teachers at school, sometimes this is where my dilemma would come in because if the child can’t understand and learn concepts taught because of extra non-school activities at home – gracious – it’s the teacher’s fault. Sigh!
