Dolphy, the king of Philippine comedy dies at 83

MAGSUMIKAP KA! I can hear you loud and clear Mang Pidol and I’ll take that as your legacy to me.

Feeds has been flooding my dashboard last night about the breaking news of the passing of the Philippines’ one and only, Dolphy and I just felt sad that his colorful, happy and sad stint on this world just ended, but happy somehow as he can rest now and be with the artists who journeyed ahead of him. He died at Makati Medical Center in Manila due to multiple organ malfunctions at 83. Dolphy is one legendary comedian of the Philippine Cinema, I had the opportunity to enjoy and laugh watching his films and sitcoms.

I’ll take your word Eric;
IN HONOR OF YOUR FATHER, I’LL SMILE TO THE PERSON NEXT TO ME!

THANK YOU DOLPHY FOR THE YEARS OF LAUGHTER!

Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr., OGH
(July 25, 1928 – July 10, 2012)
