style="text-align: justify;">Learning out-of-class is actually an old teaching strategy but is still widely and extensively subscribed to by educators, not only that it’s fun for the students and teachers to go out as it breaks the monotonous four-wall teacher-student structure. style="text-align: justify;">I’m a hard subscriber of this strategy and not a class that I didn’t do practical lessons and tests with them, it’s also the reason why as much as possible I tag along my kids with me whenever circumstance will allow. We weren’t able to fly this summer – you know we have to draw our priorities and we deem some projects are more important than flying somewhere.

But that did not hold back the kids from exploring and going somewhere, since we’re putting up things together at our farm, then they should get involved, so here – messing and running around NEDF demo farm.

The only vivid picture I have of The Alps were the scenes and events on the cartoon series ‘Heidi’, if you’ve lived a normal childhood and was allowed on those times to watch television, then probably you also have that imagined picture of what the Alps look-like following the adventures of the ‘Girl of the Alps’ and her grumpy grandpa.

Until recently I’ve stumbled on this web compilation, it’s a website called www.cyclingthealps.com, this features the cycling courses of ‘The Alps’. I knew the Alps is a mountain range that connects several territories in Europe, but I didn’t know it was this thrilling and ohhh, it again set off the butterflies in my stomach, I can imagine myself buying a pad of ‘bonamine’ before I can have the nerve of negotiating these courses.

It’s just amazing how technology has put all these together that despite our physical limitation to go and experience it for ourself – real-time, we’re given techno-aided option to take a look at how its like coursing|cycling the Alps even halfway round the globe.

Awesome!

Here’s a 3D rendition of one of the amazing terrains that cut through the ‘The Alps’, it’s a cycling route though but nonetheless, it just amazed me how we humans had played around with nature to get through awesome places despite obscurity. If you play this video on Youtube.com site, you can see other videos covering this place, try it.

I’m fairly familiar on how to take care of horses, I grew up with several around me, but I never had this fascination with them, I fear them in fact, maybe because of some unlikely kicking accidents that happen when I was young. But my brother rides them fairly cool, I dare on some occasions I felt lazy walking around the farm, that if there’s saddle set on the back. Thing with this living machine sometimes they use their brains and you can’t control them and that is what I feared the most in riding – falling!

But I was surprised to know that my kids got interested in riding, thanks to Mikee Conjuangco for the inspiration, but sadly, there are no pro equestrian coach around, though there are folks that can teach them the basic how-to, the difference really is big when the kids will be taught the proper technique how to reign and pat a horse As I’ve said I have no fascination with this living machine, I just love to see girls in neat equestrian apparel, but if my kids will really insist on learning, who am I to hold back their interest, if that time will come probably I should work on conquering my fear of seeing them fall.

But wait, this sports don’t come in cheap darlin’, I can afford to buy a native horse breed though – we have two of those in the farm as I write, but Thoroughbred? I think I needed to work hard more.

It’s been a while that I bought this book – Sun Tzu, The Art of War – it’s this famed book about the oldest and most successful military tactics ever in the world and this was attributed to Sun Tzu, he’s a high ranking military general who strategized almost perfect strategies to be the victor in ancient wars they engaged into. I accidentally dusted that book at a book sale and at that time I felt like I’ve unearth a century-old fortune. I should be honest and won’t play hyperintellectual here, I really struggled understanding some of his admonitions at first, and some phrases were like a deep abyss for me.

There was one though that I discreetly apply and it’s a very effective life strategy given the ‘usiserang mga kapitbahay meron ako.’

Sun Tzu said: Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.

I’m really pissed with my overly invidious relative-neighbor here, so we never shared our life plans – doing so would just complicate my everydayness and will just stress me more, so when they knew about it after such a secret deed, it’s all done and that ends the story – no more batting in and out of unpleasant suggestions and all that stuff. Thank you Sun Tzu, it worked well!

If you’re interested in getting a slice of Sun Tzu’s wisdom, you don’t need to rummage on dusty books anymore, here’s a videobook I found at Youtube, go watch it and see what strategy would be best given your situation. Good luck!

Hi there folks, I was out of my dashboard for several days, I went to serve a much-needed break and I guess I’m sane again to face another episode of busy and crazy, sort of, life. It was a refreshing break, breathing the purest of air and hearing cicadas chirping at night, my husband has been moaning if only he can do teleconferencing at the top of the mountain with his clients in the city, he would surely do. Sadly, there’s no electricity in the boondocks yet and the solar panel that serviced us can’t even play my favorite show.

But it won’t be long the local electric cooperative, Sukelco (Sultan Kudarat Electric Cooperative) is working doubly hard to service the interior barangays to bring electricity to the mountains, locals say in about two months electricity will come running the cables up the hill and when that time comes, these coffee trees might already bring brewed coffee to our tables and my hopeful husband will then do his client digital conferencing over his typing machine transmitting live right from the middle of this hill. Isn’t technology awesome?

With the economy taking a turn downwards, people have found that working low-paying jobs that are of no interest to them are a necessity just to simply get by. Unfortunately, these same people are so immersed in working a dead-end job to put food on the table that they feel they do not have the time or even the choice of pursuing a career in an alternate field. One of the most prevalent complaints of people in this situation is the lack of passion they have for their career.

Fortunately, since online schools have become prevalent in modern society, people who were previously unable to go to school now have the opportunity to earn a degree in a rewarding field like counseling. Counseling is unique to other professions because it provides the sense that you are truly helping someone, every minute that you are working. For many people, this element of counseling is enough to inspire them to work towards a degree. However, there are many other benefits associated with getting the best Masters in counseling.

Below are a few of the most notable benefits in obtaining a Masters degree in counseling.

A Wide Range of Specialization

Counseling, much like healthcare, has a range of different specializations. These specializations make this particular career choice extremely versatile. Some of the most widely known types of specializations include: marriage counseling, grief counseling, and drug counseling.

Growing Field

Counseling is a growing field with plenty of room for advancement. Aspiring students can expect to have many options available to them in terms of the type of environment they wish to work in. From high-schools to specialized medical facilities, there are many institutions that are in need of counselors. This demand ensures that professionals working in the counseling field have plenty of jobs available, as well as competitive compensation.

Rewarding Work

A benefit of obtaining a degree in counseling is the rewarding aspect that comes with helping people. Unlike most other types of professions, a counselor can leave work knowing they have directly provided a benefit to someone’s life.

Fortunately, online education has made the prospect of earning a Masters in counseling much more of a reality for people with busy lives than in past years. Simply finding the right school with the right program is all you need to do to enter this rewarding industry.

So if you find yourself working at a job that you have trouble waking up for, consider counseling as a potential career option. Not only will you experience a unique warmth in your pursuit of helping people, but you will also have a secure job with a bright future.

Looking for Hyundai Verna?

Teacher Recommends

Hyundai Verna
<guid

I have three kids and enrolling them in any summer programs all at the same time would likely sacrifice one for the next school year, hence, I have to find alternative way to make their summer time somehow productive.

Well, kids work is kids play and I’m just lucky we have few other kids living in the compound and they we have quiet an ample space to bike around, the most I can do is to set-up a Other than that I also have this habit of letting my kids walk the sidewalks of the city, a 15-minute walk can already spawn countless of questions, in that way I would know their mind is working on the basis of what they see.

There are many ways to engage your kids outdoor the less expensive way; it would start from the parents who think it that way.

Couture dessert: Yummiest gift ever

Teacher Eats

Teacher Recommends

dessert gifts

Glass beads are common beads that are used in different beading crafts. They are called by different names such as Indian glass beads or Czech beads. Now although they come in with different monikers, glass beads are very popular because they come in different styles, shapes, designs and sizes so that you can create exciting pieces of jewelry such as dangling necklaces, layered earrings and bracelets.

These beads usually come with colorful and glossy coatings and they are usually made by hands. In fact, you can easily mistake these beads for expensive gemstone beads and this is the reason why these beads are popular among fashion-savvy yet frugal jewelry makers. What makes them great is that they exude lovely reflection especially when hit by light. Handmade glass beads vary when it comes to their design, shape and sized but even if this is the case, these add to the personality of the beads thus making elegant to funky jewelry from of them is very easy. One thing that you have to remember when buying these beads is that they have sharp holes so it is important that you use sturdy threading materials such as chain links. If you use ribbons, make sure that you use spacer beads or tie a knot in between the beads to prevent it from moving which lessens the chances of the sharp edges from damaging the threading material.
